It’s called bandeja paisa.
Served as a huge platter, it has several variations. But chiefly, red beans, rice, ground beef, chorizo with lime, plantain, arepa, avocado, fried egg on top and a big slice of chicharron or fried pork belly. This is normally accompanied by mazamorra, a cold, milk based beverage containing crushed maize grains or kernals.
A high calorie food, the bandeja paisa was traditionally eaten by peasants in the Andean state of Antioquia. This helped them consume a full day’s worth of energy and nourishment to keep them going.
